 MANASU is also registered under the Department for the welfare of differently abled people along with IMH license. The certificate of registration is handed over to Fr. Soosai Antony CMF, Director of MANASU by the honourable Minister T.M.Anbarasan (minister for Rural Industries, Cottage Industries, Small Industries, Slum clearance board in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu Government) in the presence of Chengalpattu Collector Respected Thiru. A. R. Rahul Nadh IAS, and others on 11th December 2021 at Chengalpattu.

 First Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for MANASU with an educational institution: Today, MANASU signed an MoU with the Department of Social Work at Madras Christian College, Tambaram. Dr. Wilson, the Principal of MCC, and Fr. Soosai Antony CMF, the Director of MANASU, represented their respective organizations. This collaboration marks a significant milestone, as MANASU continues to forge partnerships with various educational institutions.

SERVICES OF MANASU IN SIX"R'S"

1.RESCUE MANASU team rescues wandering men suffering with mental illness from streets with a help of local government authorities.

2.RECOVERY MANASU provides residents with medical and psychiatric treatment by healthcare professionals to support their physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being.

3.REHABILITATE The residents undergo rehabilitation through occupational therapies and vocational training such as organic gardening, candle making, paper bag production, kitchen assistance, and more

4.REINTEGRATE Through our initiatives, we aim to reunite residents with their families and support their smooth reintegration into society.

5.REACHOUT We promote public health through various initiatives, including medical and mental health camps, counseling, health awareness programs, food distribution to the destitute, and reflexology treatment.

6.RESEARCH We offer a supportive learning environment and practical exposure for students and interns to engage in field-based research in mental health and social care.

INTERNSHIP & RESEARCH PROGRAM

The importance of a quality internship program for both undergraduate and postgraduate psychology students is of vital importance for their academic career. Internships, which might be better termed “practice internships,” may involve research, while research opportunities may come in the form of work-study programs or volunteer positions.
